Hooking Up 3 12" L5 Solobarics and a ALPHASONIK 12" PSW912?

Hi,

I Have a A4KDN Audiobahn amp, I was looking to Power my 3 12" Kick Solobaric L5's (Rating on the 3 12"solobarics is 1800watts RMS when all three are hooked up) This solobaric box is wired to 1ohm, Then i have One ALPHASONIK 12" PSW912 ( Rating on this subwoofer is 2200Watts RMS).. ALL the subwoofers are dual 2 Ohm, So the ohms match perfectly, Would it work? It would sound alright?? The ALPHASONIK 12" PSW912 has its own enclosure, When everything is wired it goes down to 1ohm, That would mean I can put 4000watts RMS To all the subwoofers and thats the max wattage for the Audiobahn A4KDN.

No. You never want to mix and match different subs. Never use two different subs or boxes. It can cause cancellation and sound like shit also. Go with the solo barics or just the alphasonik.

And if it goes to 1 ohm per enclosure, that would end up being like .5 ohm unless the amp is two channel.

Okay, I will stick with My Solobaric 12's, BUT now.. If I do.. I will Blow my subwoofers? right? How about 3 12" Solobarics and One 15" Solobaric ? I really don't want to get rid of my solobaric 12's but if i have too.. Which subwoofers do you recommend?

Alright - I will probably just go with the 3 12" ALPHASONIK PSW912 at 1ohm. Unless someone else has a better idea for subs. I was at one time looking at the solo-x 18, but wasn't sure where i could actually buy the enclosure for it. - Matt.

You could always build the enclosure. You don't need a buttload of tools for it. Lowe's will cut the wood to your specs and then you just stick it together. All you'll need is something to cut the hole in the baffle.
