LOUD, sealed, sq sub

I just tuned it to 675watt rms with my DMM, SSF is at 25Hz, LPF is at 80 or so. Its not gettin that loud honestly so i thought ide give it 750, but at about 30volts (700watts) it had the burp kinda thing and i turned it down immediately. The max on that speakers suppose to be 1600watts, is that burp bad? It was during the 4Hz test tone i downloaded, i believe its the womp i was referring to when i was playing music

If its not gettin as loud as i want it you think i should get a bigger box? its in a 1.25 now, maybe a 1.75cu? i had a 2 or 2.2cu box, sound wasnt as full as i wanted but it was very loud lol

I dont understand how you'd say it isnt an SQ sub? Supposedly its on up there with the SI Mag in the SQ department and that sub was a major hit for SQL... And its not nut hugging. Im speaking from experience. Recommending a driver from a proven company..Not just rambling out a forum boner.
I never said my JBL wasnt a SQ sub, i was looking for suggestions on a single sealed 12 really.... hahah i just wanna start building my own boxes so i figured a easy sealed 12 would be a good start //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i was refering to someone suggesting the obsidian audio sub wasnt a sq sub.

Bingo!! DON'T set your sub control to ZERO!! (especially since you have only 2V outputs) It's NOT a bass boost. It's a simple attenuator, meaning, 15 is regular full voltage, and it can simply be turned down from there. I have a CDA-117, and I set my sub control to 12 out of 15 to have a little wiggle room on poorly recorded music. Set the bass EQ to zero, not -3. I bet you'll get 24.5V easy doing the above settings.
I really hate how they do that. My Kenwood 693 has sub level from -15db to +15db. I originally thought it was a bass boost of sorts, so I left it at 0db, and could never get full power out of it. It doesn't make any sense that you must turn the sub to "+15db" for it to send full voltage, you would think that the "+" part of +15db would mean it's a form of boost.
