ah *LOL* if you saw the huge JBL amps, no sorry I cannot afford those or fit them. I am going to use the mucho smaller 1100.1 amp. Still quite large but reasonable. also going with the 300.4 power series. So far harmon products have not let me down and with Alma telling me that her crew actually likes them then I will use them. I know a heck of allot about car audio and that brought me to the JBL amps but team gates knows a heck of allot more than I and they say go for it so I will listen to them!

If you are looking for a good deal, why not go to cardomain and price match the amp.

I agree, they are very well built, and in fact you can stick a neon/LED tube inside to highly the guys if you like.

Would the JBL be considered SQ or an SPL amp?

Both,a good amp IMO can do both and JBL amps fit that bill nice....

I used to be a kicker auth dealer and the last one I used was the RF designed bentley grill looking amps. Was a good amp back then but they are FAR to trendy for me now, no offence to anyone but they are just not my style. Last orion I owed was an hcca 225 *LOL* yeah the ones that melted your carpet. Used to have bad experiences with repairs when they were based in Tempe "down the street from me" Thought they were owned by jensen now? Also I think I saw them in pepboys.... uh.... ok.... Amps are going to run me $550 for the class D and $270 somthing for the 4 channel.
Just so you know, I am not a penny pincher if the quality is there and the amp is built the way it should be. JBL fits this bill perfect. Have any models in mind?
