TMI! People always crying about trying to find a good shallow mount subwoofer. The JL is the only shallow mount that I've heard that sounded decent.

Shallow mounts are a fad that should have died a long time ago.
They are like "diet" subwoofers
No matter how hard you try it's not the same thing

Because even the smaller regular subs are better than a shallow.

I don't even really know why I just do.

Old school PPI flats rocked
For a while I thought everyone was going to switch to them or at least offer a version but they just went away
I think it had something to do with the DEI buyout

No, I'm not, but I've heard them. The JL in a sealed box sounded the best. 4- 6-½'s behind the seat in a crew cab sounded better ported box). I have a Dodge Standard cab and have a massive amount of room behind my seat, so, no need to run shallows. I actually could've run 2- AB HD10's behind my seat with room to spare, but 4- 8's sounded more impressive.
