I want more power. I currently have one 18 inch woofer looking to find a cheap upgrade i was told the speaker could handle 1000w rms. 2500 tru

But i dont have a million dollars to purchase anything good like what i have so i was thinking 500-600w rms 2channel when bridged or even if i can get a monoblock cheap enough i would go with that.

Any ideas im only looking to spend at most 150$ for the time

What kind of 18" woofer is it? and what are the coils or coil?

Also are you running it in a ported or sealed box?

but you should easily be able to find an amp 5-600 rms, just need a little more info to recommend anything

We have a used PPI Art 600.2

It does:

2 x 150W @ 4 ohms

2 x 300W @ 2 ohms

1 x 600W @ 4 ohms bridged

Its beat up but works great! Solid amp. $140 shipped

SOUNDS interesting vertex. To awnser the first guy what i have is a concert speaker that is ported an oldschool cerwin vega mostlikely is 8ohms or 4.

Its not a brand new 2013 dual voice coil or anything. But it still pounds with my fosgate just not enough it has its own crossovers and filters so i just run low end threw it the horn i filter that out. I have it in the back of a cherokee.

The guy who was selling them advised me to put good clean power into them and plenty of it as to not damage the speaker. I actually have 2 of these badboys
