Looking to up grade my 4x6s

I think I'll just go MDF if I decid the kick pannles will work.

They'll almost always "work". Building them is the hard part. People generally use fiberglass because you can mold it into just about any shape. MDF is a lot more difficult to work with in situations like this.

I'm not saying it can't be done, because I've seen it done, but most people use fiberglass for stuff like this for a reason...

I figured it was mostly for looks but I dont know the first thing about using fiberglass.

It takes a lot of patience. Lots of sanding & finishing work...

OK, so today I determined it was either doors or nothing. If I had kick pannel speakers, I would not have room to set my E-break and thats just dangorous. As far as the clearence issue with the doors, I think I may customize some MDF spacers to help out with that, maby angle them to point more towrds the driver/passenger area insted of towrd my leggs.

The doors are the way to go then, man. You should easily be able to use mdf to eliminate clearance issues too.

will do. may be a while though. I suspect I will be running low on money for a bit so no MDF untill next pay check.
