Looking for some advice on a new direction for my system. I currently have 2 Dayton HO 12"s in a SQL oriented box. Ive been thinking of trying some different subs or sub and orient things in a SPL direction.

I only have 1200rms to play with for subs at the moment but Im looking for suggestions on whether different subs could net me a nice increase or just building a SPL oriented box for the daytonscould match new subs.

IMO, unless you plan on dramatically increasing power, build a spl box for the daytons...they will take quite a bit more power than you have,atm..

Ok, lets say I double my power. What would anybody suggest for a sub for around 300$ for 1 or a pair for around 400$. I have a chevy Silverado Ext cab with the backseat out, so I have decent room to build a box back there.
