Looking to start a build

I'm looking to start a build with a budget of about 600-700 max. I would prefer to spend as little as possible. So far I have came across the Hifonics Brutus series (1200w) as being good watt/$, but the problem is finding subs to go with those amps. I want to run two 4ohm 12's, dvc, and looked at alpine type r's(600? rms), but I'm not sure If I would be overpowering those subs if wired parallel.

I'm open to all suggestions on this setup, and am in not in any way set on any specific amp/sub combo yet. I also need a decent head unit to fit into my budget if you guys can suggest some that will work with whatever subs/amps are suggested.

I'm sure these threads are created a day a dozen, but I appreciate any help and offer my thanks in advance.

In that budget...you can snag a 1k amp and 2 12s easily enough. Just build a box and there ya go.

There are many options, just look through the FS section and local craigslist.

Right, I just don't know much about which brands to trust, which brands do this, do that, etc.

On the cheaper side DC is a good option. I think a set of Level 3 12s would fit in that budget. Then just look for an amp that does decent power at what ever ohm load you need. Many options, just look a few then do a bit of research and there ya go.

Hit up the classifieds here.....can get some killer deals, while used, still good stuff...

If you need a good cheap deck, I have a nice 5v pre-out deck and iPod adapter I can let go for 115. In awesome shape! JVC 7500 arsenal. I would sell ya my subs as well, but they are D2's.....
