sundown sa-series. they are in that price range. they have an rms of 600 but can handle more. you also could look at IA lethal injections.

Depends on what you want. For instance sundown gets recommended on every thread, but there are far better sq subs out there. If you are looking for one that leans more towards spl, and is okay at sq then the SA is fine. If you want good sq and okay spl the SA is not the best choice out there for the price. For someone to give a decent response you have to let them know what equip you have and what your goals are.

I've never heard one, but the DC level 3's "model" better than my 10W6v2 and should fall toward the high end of your price range.

Maybe someone that's heard a set can comment.

My vote would be for an SSA dcon or Dayton reference HO.

BTW my daily driver has sundown amps, so not a hater. It's just sa subs are not the solution to every forum question.
