Looking to get LOW with about 4.5in depth

Ive got a couple Kicker 8" shallows, and they are great for a lot of music. They don't get near low enough for me, however. Can someone recommend me some 10's (about 4.5" depth) that will get really low? I could possibly fit 12's, but 10's would be preferred.

there are a bunch of shallow mount 10's on the market. Just about every company has a line of them.

Is 4.5 you max depth or can you go a little deeper? A 10" Mach 5 IXL has a mounting depth of 5.5" and there are some good reviews on it.

I really can't go bigger than 5" depth. More and I cant fit a passenger in my truck.

Those Mach 5's do look pretty nice. I will keep them in mind if I take the "screw a passenger" route. lol

i can understand that.

I think the Alpine Type S 10" is only 4 1/4" deep.

The new Mag V4s are only 5.5" deep. Also, the new BM V2s will only be 3.5" deep. But as of now, you have a few choices. The JL TW5, Memphis, Pioneer, and Kicker are some of the better ones.

I hear the kicker CVT gets pretty loud...but does not have any SQ qualities.

The new Mag V4s are only 5.5" deep. Also, the new BM V2s will only be 3.5" deep. But as of now, you have a few choices. The JL TW5, Memphis, Pioneer, and Kicker are some of the better ones.

I looked at the BM's and they looked like they would be really nice. I probably won't be doing this upgrade until April or so, so they will likely be out by then? Also, can anyone tell me a little about those RE SE Slimlines? Numbers don't seem amazing, but I see a lot of people like RE.

I can't guarantee they will be out by then, but the chances are extremely good that they will be.

I will definately look into them if they are. They seem to have a lot of hype surrounding them.

Well, first of all the BMs will only be 12", but with only needing a .5 ft^3 box and 3.5" mounting depth it kindof makes up for the larger size of the 12"

As for others, all I can really think of are the ones I already listed.

I am really trying to find a very good 10 because I will have to do some interior cutting if I get a 12. I looked at the tw5 and would love to get it.

I know I scared everyone away by saying JL, but it just makes sense for a top of the line shallow mount.

Any other suggestions as far as a 10 or 12 with 4.5 inches of depth that will get LOW?
