bought the sony.. so far it seems cool.. really small and no protruding lens to get broken when it turns on in my pocket..

wish the stupid battery would hurry up and charge..

Don't buy a camera for the internal memory, you can get a 2gb SD card for $10. I don't know about Sony cameras, maybe the more expensive ones are better, but every $200ish one I've heard about has plenty of noise, poor ergonomics, and tons of shutter lag.

I have a 5mp Sony Cybeshot with the 10 optical zoom and is nice, but have had to send it back to Sony twice in 4 years I have had it.

Takes nice pictures for the most part. Honestly, I like my Panasonic point and shoot better, not to mention it was almost 800 dollars cheaper, lol!

Check into the Panasonics if you want a nice, simple camera that is easy to use and takes very nice pic's. I have an 8mp, but they have a 10mp one that is nice and is I believe 10x optical zoom for around 300 smacks.

Also agree with the internal memory with that Sony. They are uping the price of that camera because of that.

Hell, I have a 4g SDHC card I paid 15 bucks for through Amazon, so save yourself the money right there.

Sony is good and nice........when it works.

I was not a huge fan of my Cannon or Kodak.... I am now using a Fujifilm S1000FD and i love it!

they sell for like $150-$450+ dependign on where you buy it... I got my little "kit" off ebay, came with a 2GB card, tripod, case etc....

I'd recommend that Sony also. Nice shape, looks like it'd be easy to carry around in a pocket. I have one of the bigger Sony's just shy of a dslr and I love it. Well outside of your requirements however, but a wonderful camera regardless!

Man how cameras have come down in price in 4 years, lol!

I may sell my Sony and check into that one. Looks pretty good.

Or just keep my P&S and pocket the cash. I rarely use it.

takes some getting used to... after using only canon menus.. but its cool..

I got a sony DSC-T200 and really don't like it.

It will not record blacks accurately. All I ever get is purpleish hues mixed with dark greys. The touchscreen takes forever and gets really smudged up. If I had to do it again, I wouldn't get it.

Buy an Olympus, I loved the one I replaced
