Looking for two daily 2k rms subs..

I'm going to agree with the RE XXX suggestion.

Edit.

I think for shits'n-giggles I'm going to WINisd up

4 15" dayton HO's and MKiii's in your box parameters.

I have a feeling they will be off the chart loud.

You running separate chambers?

I'm running common chamber....

4 MKiii's 15's had a messed up curve in that box.

But 4 HO 15's look to have the exact same curve

as the fi Q's, but run 6 db higher on 4000 watts

than 2 fi q 15's on 3000 watts. 5 db higher than

the q's on the same 4000 watts, but thats a little

much for q's.

I doubt you wanna cut 2 more holes in there. I'm

new at winisd, so I'd get a 2nd opinion if your interested

in that route.

I'm ready to upgrade my subs and I really don't know which way to go. I had two Q 15's and honestly, I really like the way that they play, but just not enough power handling for me. I was pushing them with an IA 40.1 @ 1 ohm with a pretty stout electrical and smoked the coils on them. I've been looking into the BL's or the AA Havoc's but really don't know if the AA's will be able to take that kind of power. I know the BL's will probably take it, but, if it's at a price where I have to sacrifice some low end extension on the BL's, I don't want them. Any suggestions would be very helpful, thanks.

2 HD3's will hold that power well (the original, not the hdC3). I have 2 on 4kw rms and they love it. just have to keep the HU from skipping when turned up //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

prefer to just run two more 15's or if I can't find anything, 3 12's of some sort...but i'd have to build another box though..//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Yeah, but I don't want to tune any higher than 28hz...

re XXX looks like it will give you an extra 1-3 db

between 28 and 60 Hz, the peak of almost 3 db

at 32 Hz. Again, just learning this winisd thing.

xxx red (not an sq curve IMO)

q green

4 HO's Blue

ok, so, ruling out the BL's for the fact that they may take 2k daily, but for how long?

Also, ruling out AA Havocs because they're rated at 1250 rms and I don't see them lasting with another 800 watts on top of their rms.

1) Sundown Audio Nightshades

2)IA DP's

3)RE XXX

I'm sure I couldn't go wrong either way, but I want to go with the one most suited for my needs. Thanks
