I need to replace my front door 6.5 speakers.

Currently I have an Alpine MRD 605 amp powering an Alpine Type R Type-R SWR-1043D

I'm going to be powering the 6.5's with a:

Sound Ordnance M-4075

http://www.crutchfield.com/p_777M4075/Sound-Ordnance-M-4075.html?tp=35782#overview-tab

•4-channel car amplifier

•75 watts RMS x 4 at 4 ohms (140 watts RMS x 4 at 2 ohms)

•240 watts RMS x 2 bridged at 4 ohms (4-ohm stable bridged)

•variable high-pass filter (80-2K Hz, 12 dB/octave)

•variable low-pass filter (50-250 Hz, 12 dB/octave)

•selectable bass boost (0, 6, and 12 dB)

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Joel

Are you looking for coaxials or a comp set? Ether way CDT makes some great speakers. We are also having a deal this weekend only, 20% off the entire store. Now would be the time to get the best deal on a set of cdt speakers.

I hope you're not buying that amp from Crutchfield. I also hope you're not buying that amp :p haha.

Vertex does good business though, and they've got a great selection of CDT speakers, which I'd also recommend. I was very happy with my CDT components when I ran them. If possible, look into components for your front doors, and coaxials for the rears.

Well, this is entirely dependent on the budget. Recently JBL's new MS-series speakers have been getting very good reviews. The price of a set is as low as $180 online which makes it one of the "value" leaders. With higher budget, you could look into JL Audio C5, Hybrid Audio Unity or Clarus, Focal Polyglass V30, or Hertz 165XL.
