I little update... I got an email from WoofersEtc.com and it appears that Alpine is the 2007 model and they are out of them. So they gave me the 2008 version for the same price.

And the guy told me that MB Quart is now owned and manufactured by the same people that make Hifonics. Interesting.

talk to lyttleviet... this is all a personal preference, but i would ditch the rear speakers and get a nice set of comps from him, he can get you something nice for a good price

I like that Quart amp and the Alpine rear fills. And I've heard about Image Dynamics but never CDT.They are all good speakers.

Hmmm... any thoughts about Diamond Audio D661s? Or Boston Pro60's? I've always heard positive things about them. I can go up to $300 for a set of fronts.

If you can go up to $300 just for the fronts I recommend the hertz hsk 165's if you have 6 1/2's, the hertz hsk 130.3's if you have 5 1/4's, or the morel tempo 5's or 6. The morels are available at woofersetc.com. Also check out the diamond audio hex series s600s at onlinecarstereo.com, I'm not sure how they are now but they used to be the shit.

Live and learn, eh? Thew sub was selected because it was a drop-in. And that means I could always sell it to anyone with a 05+ Mustang, right? So resale was a factor.

What's pathetic is that now I'm wishing I would have picked up a 3-way component set for the doors. But that would increase the cost of the install. I don't even see a ID 3-way set. Might not need it.

I guess I'll keep the gear I've ordered and see if I like it. If not, I can always upgrade and take it to a ho-neva-level.
