Looking for the right 10 inch sub, criteria inside

Okay I am thinking I may completely redo my sub box (even though i just finished the last one last weekend).

This is going into my 01 Z06 Corvette

1. $300 or under shipped

2. My amp does 400-450 rms x1 at 2 ohms

3. Sealed enclosure, between .6-.8 airspace

4. Has to have a nice basket (I know I know, but the sub will be inverted and its going into my vette so I want it to look nice)

5. Looking for the best overall sub SQ and SPL, I am not looking to shake houses but I do want to feel it

BTW, currently I am leaning towards the 10w6d2 because it has a nice basket, from what i read should go pretty well with my power, heard has great SQ and good SPL, plus an added bonus is the way the terminals are set up to make the wiring nice and clean.

SI BM ? nice little subs that are great for SQ and daily beating...

THey're in you're price range, and I dont think anyone would argue they'd be good for a small size application such as yours. I also own a vette, so im aware of your requirements.....these subs are available from http://www.low-hz.com if you want to check out pricing

the rl-i 10 is a badass. loves small boxes and fits your price range. dunno if it's flashy enough for ya, but it's backed by someone a whole lot better then lowhz. (SI is awesome, nick is da man. it's low hz who blows)

also look into Fi and the tens they have. another great option backed by a great team of people.

not necessarily looking for "flashy" but just a nice looking basket and the rl-i has one

but I am also concerned with the performance of the sub, if that wasnt the case i would just keep my current enclosure that holds two shallow mount subs

plus something that will make the most out of my 400-450 watts

the tc10 oem would work, and at that price, would be a great buy. and just because a sub is rated at 800wrms doesn't mean that's what it'll take to get it moving. box is going to play a big part in the power needed. i'd wager 400wrms will be plenty to get good output outa that sub.

MAW-10 or RL-i 10 or SSD-10 all good choices.
