Looking for suggestions on a pair of 8'' subs

I am looking for a pair of 8'' subs to run in my 79' beetle convertible.

Preferably SQL, i want them to sound good, nice and punchy, but i'd still like to crank it every now and then. I mostly listen to rap, with the occasional 80's music/hard rock.

I plan on running a component set with these, so i don't want them to overpower my interior.

And running them sealed is very important because i have extremely minimal space to work with in my trunk(which is in the front). I don't know if any of you are bowlers, but my trunk is just barely big enough to fit a two ball bowling bag and a single ball bowling bag in... if that's any idea of how much space i have. But i will be putting my amps in the back of my car in my hatch space behind the back seat.

i'm looking to spend about 200 at the most on each sub, and any amp suggestions would really help as well, because i'm not familiar with running a. more than one sub and b. the smaller subs..

the tangband 8" are a VERY nice price worthy option at roughly $50 american each.

There is more expensive options but for the money I love the TB w8-740c

Search "great eight" or "great 8" and see what you come up with. There was an objective review of some 8" subs on another forum and I'm sure it has been referenced here. Maybe someone can post the link to it ?

Get a pair of eD EU700s for like 100shipped, things perform quite well in a good box

Heard 4 8" assassins it was very clear and punchy.........not the greatest SPL but very high quality.

Thats alot for such a little amp.

Get a nine.1 or a MD2 and turn the gains down and it will last a long time for not much more money.And if you upgrade down the road you have the amp for it.

rms is only 120w each so how about a memphis mc250d or small alpine mono amp?
