looking for subs

I want a pair of 12's for my 95 four door tahoe. Budget is small (i.e. $225 shipped) as I just want something to pound while I save for some crystal compx212's. Just bought a directed 1500d and may be getting a ED 9.1. I am seriously interested in kicker comp vr's or crystal prox212's. I have also looked at re se's (can be had used in that range) or alpine type r's. I will be building the box myself, sealed, and since it's a tahoe the space is really not an issue. What are some opinions on these setups?
