Hello everyone.

so, like the title says, im looking for a little advice.

i have a 03' Hummer H2 with the Bose system

i replaced the HU with a Pioneer AVH - P4000DVD that is connected to the BOSE amp and stock BOSE speakers that are failing.

Pioneer AVH-P4000DVD DVD receiver at Crutchfield.com

6.5 componete speakers in the front

6.5 - 2 ways in back doors

there is also a 5 or 6 inch "sub" hidden somewhere in my dash.. anyways...

i would like to remove all traces of the BOSE system.

replace the front stage area with decent speakers (Component)

i would like back fill speakers for the rear seat area.

Budget is $500 for atleast front speakers, and a Amp.

what can you guys recommend?

i listen mostly to Rock music, but with some techno, and rap thrown in there.

if the song has bass in it, i want to know its there!

below is the following items i have, but not installed. not sure if any of it is really worthwhile actually, but i got most of it for free, so cant complain.

i thought about using the Amp for some 6.5s, but at 200 RMS, wouldnt that be overkill for most good quality 6.5s out there?

most i have seen are 50 to 75 RMS, that max out at 100 to 200w.

wouldnt this amp be too strong for even those pyle 6.5s? 200rms/400w?

just by word of mouth really, but arent they named "pile" for a reason?

if anything, i was thinking of using the amp for the 12" sub..

but then again, im not even remotely a expert on car audio. i just barely know enough to confuse myself.

thanks, for the info and help btw

what if i do not use the Pyle speakers, and decide on using something along the lines of these:

Focal

Focal 165A1 6 1/2" Component Speaker System NIB NR : eBay Motors (item 230465017007 end time Apr-28-10 07:44:31 PDT)

orthese JBL

JBL

i understand turning the gain down on the amp, but wouldnt it still be overkill for these speakers since they are only 50 to 70 RMS?

for what i always understood was that RMS = continous power at all times. you could turn the gain down to 0, and it will still put out the RMS rating per channel?

im not looking for a competition setup, but not looking for ghetto either. so if i need to buy a new amp, thats fine.. just looking for recommendations.

but if this amp will work, hey it saves money for other goodies. im not ignoring any advice, i just dont know, so sorry about the questions.

thanks again!
