Looking For Some Mid-bass

ok now that winter is almost over id figure id start working on my car once again. it my car right now im running pretty much stock other than my woofers and amp. what im wanting to do is put 2 6.5 up front and 2 6.5 in the back of my cavy and power them through an amp. im looking at the Pioneer TS-D161R 6.5 inch REV 2-Way speakers....

my question is what kind of amp should i use for them? and how would i run the output to the amp? the reason i ask is because the output on my head unit is running to the amp for the subs?

Why not just get a really nice set of comps up front, feed them 125-200 watts a side, deaden the heck out of the front doors, and call it a day? No need to get all fancy with multiple midbasses, and there certainly is no need to put decent speakers in the back of the car. All that would accomplish is total destruction of your front stage.

also i have a pioneer deh-p33 for my headunit. i think i may need to upgrade. just not sure what a good replacement would be...

Ouch. That's kinda tight to attempt to do everything. Even two pair of decent coaxials and a decent deck will be a tight squeeze into that budget.

Maybe you could do it in steps? Spend that $300 on a good headunit, save up for a little while longer than look at getting new speakers and possibly an amp? That would be my suggestion.

rev component set+decent 4 channel+decent set of coax (especially if ya went used) could be had for under $400. How much do you have for the hu?

and 150-250 head unit

new or used deck prefered....imo if you're gonna go ebay new isn't a hell of a lot better.
