Looking for some HU suggestions...

I just bought an '07 Toyota Tundra and would like to replace the factory HU. I would like something relatively easy to use and something designed to use with an Ipod. I'd really like to stick the Ipod in the glove box and use the HU's controls with the Ipod.

I currently have an Alpine, I think it's a CDA-9807, and I like it. So another Alpine might be nice just so it'd be easier to learn to use the controls, etc.

I looked at a stereo place today and saw the CDA-9885 and 9887. They both looked fine, but I couldn't tell the difference between the two.

Would either of those be a good choice, or is there something better out there?

I definitely want some type of CD player.

I saw some similar threads, but just nothing with those two HUs. But hey, I can always use another smart *** comment, there are never enough of those in the world.

The 9885 will do exactly what you are looking for.

Along with Bluetooth.. Use your cell phone through your systems, hands free..

However if you want a system that can get really complex with tons of sound tuning options... go for the 9887

I went with the 9887 just recently.. I like it along, I was interested in the IDA-X001 as well. but I too wanted the CD option... though if you are interested in adding a CD changer.. you have that option with the IDA-X001 I do believe..
