I'm just going to get right into it, here's my setup:
Scosche 600 watt wiring kit from walmart (8-ish gauge wire, 50 amp fuse)
Crunch powerzone "1800 watt" 2 channel amp
1 pyle blue label 12" 800w max
1 Pyle blue label 10" 600w max
Custom box
First question, is my amp any good? I'm not familiar with crunch, so I dont really know what to expect out of it. I've had it for about a month now and it seems to be working pretty good, but it gets pretty hot. However I'll address that in a moment.
Second, how bad is it to connect a 2 ohm load to an amp that says not to go below 4 when bridged?(thinking this is where the heat is coming from)
And lastly, a bit controversial from what I've read; would aa capacitor keep my lights from dimming when the bass hits? I'm only running around 500 watts, I don't think that's enough to dim the lights, maybe a new battery is in order?
