looking for some advice about a bike

Older 600's are about equivalent to some new 250's. And older 1000's are about the same if not less than newer 600's. New bikes are getting insane with power lately.

Don't cheap out on equipment either, ya HJC's get the job done. But if you can, opt for a shoei, arai, suomi.

My starter bike was a Honda Hurrican 1100, lol! It was too much for me and took one spill and sold it. I kinda regret it now because I am smarter and I am sure I would have been better now being I am older. So even if you get a bigger bike because say you get a good price on it then go for it. You just have to use this thing inside your head called a brain. That and watch out for other people! You get those two things you will be fine. One you can do for sure, the other well................

I usually advise on starting on a smaller bike, but in reality its you who controls the power. So if you think you will be a lead foot so to speak, then get a smaller bike, but those bikes can kill you as fast as a fast bike FYI.
