Looking for new 12s need help

Currently im running 2 Kicker CVR 12s 4 ohms dual @ 1 ohm with a AudioPipe AP15001d. It seems the amp is to strong for the subs cuz i cant turn the gain up more then 1/4... So what 12s should i get four around 200$

I was thinking of just getting 2 more CVRS, and running 4 of them off the AP1500

thats 375 watts RMS to each sub, or should i just get 2 Strogner Subs instead the four CVRs
