Looking for input 98 F150 single cab 2 type r12s

I was wondering what type of box to build for the type r subs with the space I have to work with. I figure I can probably get about 3 cuft. Would that be enough to do a ported box? If I can do a ported box does it matter where the ports exit? On the side or on the front? Thanks in advance for any help.

Hey man im doing 2 12" ab hds in my 99 reg cab. If you need help pm me. Im doin 4 cubes with external aeros. Its gonna be a tight squeeze but i think i can do it.
