looking for good speakers with no amp

I have a 01 cavalier and i want to replace the stock speakers in the doors and the rear dash. 4x6 in the front 6x9 in the back. i will get brackets to change the size if it is the best option..

i was thinking of maybe gettin the pg rsd 6.5's in the front, but im not sure if they will sound good w/o an amp...

and thinking of a pioneer series 6x9 in the back..

just a thought, open to suggestions.. thanks

don't go without an amp, you will regret it later, promise. wiring up an amp isn't all that hard, and your sq and volume will both improve

replace your HU instead...imo..

then when you have the money get amps and speakers

more then likely he has a changed HU but i have some kicker 4x6s they aint that loud but there ok

What model are your kickers??

and i decided against an amp right now for 2 reasons..

1. my sub amp already pulls enough power and i dont think i have anymore to give..

2. behind my indash is tiny, and idk if i can fit any more RCAs back there

a decent 2 channel or 4 channel amp wired at 4ohms powering interior speakers will not draw a huge amount of current. it's worth it. i have an amp thats does 750 rms at 2 ohms and an amp that does 205x2 at 4 ohms and my 100% stock electrical handles it perfectly fine.

Going with an amp and a good set of 6.5" coaxes up front would more than likely sound better than comps on head unit power, but if you are intent on upgrading speakers anyway, Pioneer Rev are said to sound good on low power. You could also go with 5.25" comps if they would be easier to fit. I would not recommend 4X6" if there is any way around it... efficiency and midbass takes a huge nose dive compared to 6.5" or even 5.25".

i think the 6.5 in the door sounds the best. eventually, i will probably get an amp in the future, i just dont really want one right now. any idea on 6x9's??

x2 on the REVs if you want some good coaxials that will sound pretty good w/o an amp

ok, so i like the pg rsd 6.5's but i only have the one spot in my door to put a speaker... so i dont know what i would with the tweeter...
