Looking for extremely powerful subs for a sound-proof car

I have a 2003 Pontiac Bonneville SSE. The trunks in these things are extremely well insulated. Ive borrowed subwoofers that rip cars to shreds and they sound extremely quiet in this. Unforunuately, i dont have the money for competition grade subwoofers, so heres what i had in mind:

2x PowerBass S-124 (2 Powerbass S-124 12" 1200 Watt Car Subwoofers + Atrend Vented Sub Box Enclosure | eBay)

I cannot build a box so i have to buy one, any recommendations on one do tell!

I have a Lanzar MXA 284 ill use for the amp.

The point of this is, do you guys know of any good 10-12" subwoofers that can murder a sound-matted car, or what do you think of what i have selected?

my budget is only $200 for box and subwoofers total. Quality isnt a big deal as im using an RCA converter tapped off the rear speakers as it is now.

the subs you posted aren't going to rip other cars apart so I wouldn't think they would do a thing in your car.
^^^ This.

And saying you want or are looking for "extremely powerful subs" when you're also saying you only have a $200 budget for subs (much less subs and a box) = does not compute

Try the thread for Skar Audio "B stock"

Nice deals there on subs, and Kevin also offers subs+enclosure at a very good price....not $200, tho

Im cheap because my current system isnt working at all, and i want to start anew by myself, i dont want to be taken advantage of again.

I have, right now, a Lanzar MXA 284 (5000w apparantly; in reality not so much)

And going super cheap doesn't really work too well for wanting to be "super loud"

I am a cheap bastard, too, but I truly don't think you can get where you think you're going on a $200 budget....put another way, you're the one fooling you (or "taking advantage of" you) if you think a $200 set of subs+enclosure is going to offer much in the way of quality or SPL.

I despise elitists, so I hope I don't come across as one, but you srsly need to look at bumping your budget. For less than about $400 ur prolly going to also need to be thinking used.

Good luck

Were you scammed?
Being stuck with a system that doesn't work shouldn't limit your range of $200.00
I was more or less scammed. I have a pair of 2 12" clarions that hit very hard that i got for $130 from the same guy who just ripped me off. He traded my 2 12"s for 4 8"s that he said would overpower the clarions. My amp barely moves them, then his incorrect wiring caused the melting of all the wires on my system. Right now i have a melted system with amp.

And now im trying to rebuild my system on my own, cause a professional is extremely overpriced and i cant trust other people with this kind of stuff

Well save up to raise your budget and do it right. Those subs will be awful, and that box will be awful. $200 is an ok budget for some mid-level used 10s or 12s.... Or a brand new 10 or 12.... A proper box will cost $100-$150 though.

Save up a couple hundred more bucks man, it'll be well worth the wait. In the mean time, use headphones, or just the speakers in your car.
