Looking for Double DIN Headunit for girlfriends Jeep

So shes decided to add some caraudio, and I'd like some suggestions on a Double DIN headunit, shes kind of fond of this Jensen but I know nothing of them

Jensen VM9224 In-Dash 6.2" LCD w/ DVD, CD, MP3 Player, USB, Aux Inputs

Her budget is at most 250.00

Shes wanting new,

iPod/iPhone compatible is a need

easy navigation of the menus ect.

Jensen makes some nice decks Im running one in my Jaguar S type ..Ipod feature work good and so does Pandora.....only thing it doesn't charge the iPhone when using Pandora....

mines a 4s and the Pandora worked fine...my Jensen also has Bluetooth also a good way to sync phone....but Im always going out with diffrent hoes so i never use bluetooth ...good way to get in a serious fix....and ruin a good evening

People seem to think highly of this one ^^^, although I would not use it with a high end amp/speaker system. Hate to say it but she should probably aim at a system that's in the 350$ price range... They will be able to push 50W per speaker and have a nicer interface. The "i-device" interfaces are pretty universal and there are firmware updates you can install on many decks to fix any compatibility issues. You could always use a 3.5mm to RCA input if all else fails, as long as the HU has an AUX interface.

Well shes not exactly looking for super bass, for starters I will replace her front and rear stage with 6.5's and tweeters, if she wants subwoofer, then the most I would do is like a 10 in a sealed since my Type R 12" gives her a panic attack *rolls eyes* haha.

It depends on if she is an audiophile or not... I am not impressed with Pioneers SQ on their double din interfaces, especially if you are gonna drop some doe on components, sub, and amp. I just wrote a review on Pioneer's AVIC-x930bt unit. It sells for around 600$ right now and the SQ isn't what it should be on my semi-pricey Focal components, most people would probably enjoy it for its functionality but these are designed to be more of a computer than a traditional stereo...

No shes no audio junkie just budget decent sound quality with a Deck of 250 or less. Then once thats done I'll help her with her front/rear speakers ect.

I cant comment on the double din units under 250$... I haven't heard em :/

The Jensen will probably work just fine, but she will need the 30$ cable to connect her i-device to it, IF she wants to control her music via the head unit. Might be part of a good valentines day gift. lol All the double din HU's require the cable to have interactive control of her iPod/iPhone.

Nope. What year and model is it. Not many, if any, Jeep varieties could accommodate a double din prior to '07
