Eclipse CD5030 vs. Pioneer DEH-80PRS

I want an all around SQ head unit, something that has good Adjustability, 5V+ Preouts, 24Bit Processing, Bluetooth, and iPod direct connect... I currently have the Eclipse CD7200 MKII in one car and Alpine CDA-9835 in another.

I'm just looking for a balanced high end head unit, I have been looking around for a new cd5030 but this new pioneer caught my eye... i have never been a pioneer fan, but this does sound like a good alternative to there ultimate stage 4 dex-p99rs!

The DEH-80PRS hasn't even been released yet and I think it will beat the pants off of the CD5030. I have a CD5030 and it's not a very good unit. It does sound nice but the USB support is kind of quirky. No AAC support on the cd5030 either.

my eclipse cd5030 just died on me... and to be honest im having a really tough time finding something that is going to compare with it. id buy another one... but i cant find one anywhere. the sound quality is the best ive ever heard. it really is an increible unit.

im in the same boat as you. just looking for a balanced high end single din unit. any idea when the deh-80prs is coming out? ive been considering that also.

a few years ago i had the pioneer deh-9000 ( thats a guess on the model) but it was a high end single din at the time. no usb or bluetooth because that was not available at the time but it was a good unit and id buy another pioneer.

i think either way you'll be fine. but i can def say for certain... that eclipse hu kicks ***.
