My guess is he doesn't actually have 1000-1500w, if he's looking to cheap out on subs he probably bought an amp off ebay for $50 that's rated at "Max: 1500w"

ya with a 40a fuse most likely....

there were some "ru" subs mentioned somewhere that looked to be ok.

How cheap $$$ wise are you talking??

my amp is a UL3000 .it puts out about 2700 watts rms,and has 6-40amp fuses.it has beat the crap out of anything that i have put on it. and when i say cheap i mean something that will get the job done without having to go the JLw7 route .the car is an 89 honda prelude si 4ws

look into power acustics mofo's had 2 12s to the kicker 2500.1 kicker rated it at 3,087 pounded so hard broke the trunk lid arms eventully blew 4 of them but at around 130 not to bad to blow... loud bass not really good quality

Jbl gto1214, 1400w peak, if you can find them. sq and spl. were under $100 each last time i checked.
