If you gonna be running a SAZ-3500, A pair of DC 12" XL will work good, I have a pair of them in a small ported box 2.5 net and they sound great and hit hard...... or I can sell you my 2 RE XXX 12" old style, they will get low and loud on a small ported box, but one of them need a recone.

they would be a great choice as well...go with the aluminum coils tho

If he goes for HDC3's, copper coils will be just fine on the 3500. But I agree with crx11, the DC XL 12s would work perfectly.
