I want ported, I like the lower sound. I currently have a TC Epic 10, given 750RMS by a hifonics amp, in a box built specific for it. I don't remember what the specs on the ported box are, but I had a professional company build it based off of what practically everyone here suggested. The sub sounds awesome, very very deep. I think it was tuned to 28 if I remember correctly. I know the sub chamber is small, but the slot port is huge weaving back and forth.

Anyways, I just bought a 2015 honda fit, small hatchback. I want an 8. I want to go ported, but I don't want a huge box. Any decent 8in woofers that can be made to fit on the smaller end of ported boxes? Or maybe a 8in that will sound very good sealed? I like deep SQ.

Thanks, those SA looks sick.. but those are 6.5s, I can at least do an 8. I looked into the SA-8v2 but its more along the spl line.
The thing with an 8 in a small sealed enclosure is, you wont get any lows, anything under 33-35hz will be pretty quiet. A ported enclosure for an 8" would take up at least .75 to 1.2 cubic feet of space for deep low end output. If you can give up that amount of space, you can look into getting the sundown X8s when they come out, if not SAs series can work fine. Going from a good ported enclosure to a sealed enclosure would leave you wanting a lot more.
