I'm looking for a syb to help finish off my system. I'm shooting for the best Sound Quality for the money. Right now I'm looking at a 10" JL W1v2 but I'm sure some of you can reccomend somthing better for the money. Thanks!

i heard a polk momo 10 the other day that sounded pretty good. it wasn't ultra loud but the bass was tight and played hip hop and rock well. the guy said it was 300w rms, which i think is a little more than the jl.

I listen to mainly rock no hip hop or rap at all.

Which is going to give me the best sound quality? I really don't care about power handling or spl at all.

Sound Splinter RL-i 10, if you want to stay with a 10".

jl will sound good. a sealed box fer sure for pure sq. you are putting it on an amp i assume.

never heard the sound splinter before but if denim says it's good, it is. he has 17,000+ posts, so he's heard alot of opinions on alot of different subs.

My post count does not mean I know everything, just that I have been here a long time. There are plenty of people with less posts that have heard more subs than I. I was just suggesting a decent SQ 10 that I know is a good product (because I have the 8" version) and the price is not too bad. If you want to go to a top end SQ sub but want to stay 10", Fi just added the Q 10.

17,000 posts means you've heard alot of opinions. i didn't mean to imply that you know everything, just that you've been reading alot of threads over 4 years. youve probably heard this same question many times and seen a wide array of opinions. does this not make someone at least fairly well informed?

Haha, its ok, I did not take it personally, I just dont want people thinking post count is knowledge on here. But yes I have read thousands of opinions on here, but sadly this forum harbors a mass majority of bandwagon people who have never heard or know much about the things they are blindly reccomended most of the times. So you have to take many with a grain of salt. Hope that helps some.

Alright I'll take a look at the Sound Splinter..

I don't have my mind set on a 10" sub either..what would be some pros and cons of going with an 8" vs 10"

Also I can't find the FI subs online..I tried Google but couldn't find a link

Yes, I know it is hard to find on google. (Not sarcasm, I looked for 20 minutes one day and decided they spent so much time and resources into their audio that they didn't have the time or the money to spend on a website).

Well I would get the FI Q 10" but it takes 1000RMS and that is wayyy more than I can provide.

Unless anyone can suggest somthing else then I think I might either go with a Soundsplinter 8" or 10".

Also...what is the warranty on the SS subs? Thanks
