The Mag? No, definitely not. It will work in a 1cf box, no bigger. You can go smaller and use polyfill however.

if he has more money i say go with the IDMAXv3!! i just ported mine and am only running about 300rms to it and its sounds great and gets loud. I have not enjoyed a sub-stage better than what i am running now.

NONE!!!! Lol!!! There are a lot of suggestions, Good ones I'm sure.but shops around here sell memphis, and jl. A few of the "homeboy" shops sell the commercial brands. And there is one VERY EXPENSIVE shop that sells focal and mb quartz I've read a few suggestions on the w3, but none on the memphis M1. The only thing about the idmaz is that I personally think its ugly, I have a lot to chew on! Whew!
