Hi,
I need some suggestions.
I'm looking to buy a 15" subwoofer to put in a sealed enclosure, and I need it to play strong up to about 75hz.
I've owned quite a few subs in my time with crap-your-pants low bass output, but they all ran out of gas after about 60hz. I'd gladly sacrifice some low bass for some more output beyond 60hz.
Most of my friends have cheap mainstream subs, and the intensity of their subs output over 60hz puts all my past 15s to shame. I noticed that all of them had an Fs in the low to mid 30hz, so I'm guessing that's what I need.
One guy told me that higher motor strength helps a sub to play up higher in the bass frequencies, but I don't know what Fs range to look at for a 15" sub with a low-Q. With high-Q subs, I'm guessing that I need 30hz+.
I'm looking to spend no more than $350 -- and I'd prefer dual 4 ohm, but dual 2 ohm is fine if I have to go there. Btw, I have about 700 rms for power at the moment.
Please help me out, thanx.
