We'll I don't really have a problem with my truck now (2001 S10), but its obviously a little on the small side, and i really want a 4 door vehicle (for carrying more than 2 people and for when we eventually have a kid, my g/f has a truck too, so one of us needs a bigger vehicle).

I'm trying to decide between a 4 door car, or a crew cab truck. obviously a truck may be a little more.

my budget is around $12,000-$15,000... maybbeee more. but hopefully not.

for a car, ive been looking at Dodge SRT-4's (retain a little performance, and can still haul a kid) http://www.srtforums.com/forums/f165/fs-05-ob-clean-cf-stock-turbo-505622/

for a truck, i like Silverado's, but F150's might be do-able. this is one that im starting to like: http://www.autotrader.com/dealers/dda/detail.jsp?ct=u&car_id=257870436&dealer_id=48567585&car_year=2004&dealership_view_name=null&result_car_id=null&first_record=51&sort_type=make_modelASC&address=&pager.offset=50&cardist=5715

if you had upto 15k and needed 4 doors, would you get an srt4 or a crew cab truck? (under 5 years old).

LOL... i like the aspect of having a "sedan" but it still being hella fast.. but im kinda on the border. i honestly see the srt4 as a second "play" or "weekend" vehicle to mess around with and maybe take to the track sometimes... i've never had a manual daily and that kind of steers me away too. i live in "city" area's and don't want a hassle in traffic ya know

...but dont ya'll know that "it's a neon until it beats you, then it's a srt4" LOL

mercury marauder? quick for a 4dr sedan.

true. i dont know much about them, not sure if they are in my year and price range. but ill check them out. if i get something big, id rather have a truck tho

edit::: naaa, not really my style, i just looked some up on autotrader. 12,900 w/ 70k miles //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

that car looks suprisingly good in person. why not a midsize SUV such as a 4runner or grand cherokee? you can get killer deals on like new grand cherokees.
ive thought about the grand cherokee's, and they do seem very reasonable. ive never been into suv's though, i like the srt8 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

GM trucks can be had for CHEAP right now.

Silverado extended cabs have a larger back seat than you may think, if you cant find a 4 door in your budget. I know avalanches are going for the 10-15k range depending on mileage, as well as tahoes.

heres another option. your child will have to sit shotgun though haha. you will run quarter miles faster than corvette z06's and ferrari f430's, all while being in a smart car //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

not sure on the price you might want to check it out. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif
