Here is a few you might want to look at :

American bass xfl as mentioned above

Sundown e10v2 (great budget sub I have run 900 rms on one with fantastic results)

Dc audio lvl 2 (one of my favorite budget subs)

Alpine type r (Highly under appreciated sub)

PPI phantom (damm good sub for the $$$)

Dayton 10" (best sq sub for the money imho)

For the 300 rms that you have on hand I would lean towards the Ev2 10", American bass xfl 10", or the dayton (if sq is your goal)

I just noticed that on ebay there are American bass vfl 10's for 150.00. Thats a whole bunch sub for 150$ really need like 500 rms to get it movin but damm that cheap for a vfl.

so after much deliberation I stuck with my original sub the Sundown E-10D4

got the sub in and installed and its an amazing sound... lows are low now and it runs almost flwless and i can take it up allot louder the in the infinty could have gone.

Sorry for the long over due post. I ended up getting the e10 and after a couple Months decided to upgrade the amp. Went with a used jl audio 500/1 v2. Then after a couple more months decided to build my first ever enclosure. I went with a 4th order bandpass tuned to 47hrz. Was able to get it metered once and Hit a 132.8 @39hrz. Had a great sound but I got hit by the bug. Just recently upgraded to a sound qubed setup there hds310 d2 there q1-1200 and a q4-90 for mids and highs.

Got my spl lab meter in and one dirty tune the new setup did a 139.6 @ 50hrz can't wait to get my smd dd1 and cc1 in sonic can tune it correctly
