As far as head units, the Kenwood excelons aren't too bad as long as you get a high end one. Personally i'd look at what Alpine or Eclipse has to offer due to reliability and great features.

- Budget = Alpine 9886, very easy to use, not too much EQ but a great unit

- Splurge = Alpine 9887, Just like above with way better EQ options

Components

I loved Fusion Powerplants and DD MB6.5s with their tweeter. Pheonix Gold RSD and the PPI are great budgets. CDT and Rainbox make great SQ components

Amps

I lovwe Hifonics for budget amps but AQ is having a sale now. I suggest picking up the 1200D and 90x4 new.

Subs

- Fi Q would be great on the 1200D for a little thump, im not sure of the price though. They are a little high in price but Image Dynamics makes quality good sounding subs as well.

i have a deck Kenwood just got it.. have to look to tell ya what model it is... budget.lol end less over time.. to start off just for inside speakers around a few hundred.. in all mostly $1000 system or less. by the time iam done..

Building a drag truck so most of the $$ are being put in that.. but NEED good tunes to cruz. iam in MI so the nice car well be geting put up soon, then worked on ya know..

have all the wire form some of the other car's i did so good on the 2 AWG. just need new RCA.

they have great midbass output, but the midrange is way too bright and tinny for my tastes, but that's why what sounds good is so subjective....

Here's some plenty good recommendations right here.... I have Hifonics amps and speakers now, the amps are ok but I feel they could be better (cleaner sounding) and the components are GREAT sounding I think but they don't make them anymore....

ok ty for the intell looked at Phoenix Gold and fond a set i like.. good right up's on them the Phoenix Gold RSd65cs. i thank i my go with in the door's and maybe in the back's to.. don't know how that would sound being inall 4 sides.. thanking good.

BUT

i real like the PPI 356CS... so now iam torn beween them.. out side if the BIG price diff iam thank the PPI 356CS may be the better set up,

Idon't mind mixing and maching as long as it all SOUNDS good..

i do like how the Phoenix Gold look but you cant hear look's so F it..lol. on the Phoenix Gold can you power the sh*t out of them and well they handle it?? I know iam a pain in the as*..lol all this Q?? BULL SH*T, WTF.... LMAO

The RSD's are a good choice, alot of guys have ran them and are happy with them. What is your budget like, we can suggest better if we know this. Me personally i have 2 sets of powerbass s-6c componets, they were 35 a set and sound great in my truck, but im saving for some better ones

iam looking to spend around a 1g.. 3-400 on insde and rest on amp's and sub..

looked at a par of Boss subs and Box today ..LMAO what a joke.. sound like sh*t and there were beat to hell...

iam still torn beween the Phoenix Gold RSd65cs and PPI 356CS..

i like the RF Power T1652-S but dont' know how they hold up under power..

DD = Digital Designs, a very nice speaker & subwoofer manufacturer that I believe is even making amps as well... very nice stuff I hear, out of my price range in general though....

O,OK ya they are out of my price range to.. nice wright up's on them.

ya iam going to go with the PPI for the fronts and Don't know on back's. seen your post on the 6x9's altoncustomtech. have to keep my eye on it... have the same Q some what. on the back of my car.. don't what to put 6.5 back there.. i thanking of keeping with the 6x8's .. there a 2" tweeter hole back there that i can use..

Guess i have to buy some front now. just poped one of the Fing stock's now it sound like sh*t (( even more then it did..lol))
