looking for a home theatre set up

Ok so when i moved i sold my old home theatre. well i moved back and i am wanting another one. i have a good size living room and already have the surround speakers. i put some polk in-wall speakers on the back wall. what i am looking for is a good reciever, floor speakers, center channel, and a nice sub. I may have around 1000 to spend. so send me in the right direction with what i should look at. I had sony before and it was nice, but i want something a little better. Thanks.

the only thing i can say is research, research and then research some more.

and don't cheap out, you'll only regret it later on. even if it means buying things piece by piece with a list planned out.

Well for a modest system, to match your surrounds, just buy a Onkyo 606, polk towers, center and a decent sub.

Receiver is on sale for $319, which is a **** good deal. All for just under $700. You can upgrade something like the sub to a 12 or maybe a better center, although I have used that one is the past and it is very clear and precise.
