I currently have a set of Polk MOMO MMC6500's in the front doors, and a set of Polk MOMO MMC690's in the rear deck of my 2007 Altima Sedan. I am powering the speakers via a Navone NE-774V to a Kicker ZX650.4 off of the factory head unit. I am running the front components passive off of the included crossover, and I am running the rear 3 ways off of the included crossover. I am looking for a nice head unit to complete my install. I don't currently have a sub, and may or may not add a small powered sub in the future (my wife already wants to kill me for tearing apart the new car...she just doesn't understand //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif). If I do add a sub down the line, it would probably be only a 6/8" powered sub...can't afford to lose too much trunk space! I am looking at H/U such as:
Kenwood Excelon KDC-X792
Kenwood Excelon KDC-X991
Eclipse CD3200
Pioneer DEH-P7000BT
Pioneer DEH-P800PRS
Alpine CDA-9886
Alpine CDA-9887
Clarion DXZ785USB
I don't know that I will ever go "active" as I can't afford to lose any more trunk space for another amp. We listen to mostly CD's and radio, neither my wife nor I own an I-POD (yet?). I want a good, quality, "crystal-clear" head unit. Any recommendations would be appreciated. I don't mind paying a little more for a better unit, as I'd rather buy it the first time around, than buy a cheaper one, be disappointed, and end up buying the more expensive one anyway!
