Looking for a 3-5" midrange

I'm looking for a midrange to complement my Alpine SLX 177r components (making them into 3-way components). I've found a set of crossovers from the MB kit that i'm going to use. I'm looking for a pair of midrange Speaker from 3-5" that have a clean but not too raspy sound. I'd like to keep the price under $100 for the pair.

Suggestions?

CDT HD-2 or HD-3 would work also I have good lukc with Hybrid Audio Legatia L3

I'm thinking of getting the 4" Woofers from Alpine SPX 107a set. Pacparts.com still carries them i think but they're out of stock. anyone else know where I an get them?

I would never, ever buy a generic passive crossover to run a 3 way. It will be a complete waste of money. Either do it active or don't do it.

The opprotunity has passed. My next step is just to add deticated SPX 17MB kit. This however must wait in more powerful amps (PDX most likely) and more $$$
