Looking for a 12 inch sub and Amp. (Under $1000) with head unit

I just bought a new car. Honda Accord 2007 EX 2.4 & I want to put in a system. I have $1000 to get a 12-15 in Sub w box, AMP, Cap & Head Unit. I am not sure if this can be done with $1000

I don't see why not. Decent subwoofers start at around $150. A new mono block amplifier will cost around $200-300, with RMS watt power between 600 and 1000watts. Head unit.. if you can afford it, Pioneer DEH-80PRS is a new value leader among SQ head units. So, there is plenty to choose from that's within your budget. Heck, with 200-300 more, you could probably add a speaker amplifier and good entry level speakers.

depends really on what you want to achieve. audioque 1200 for around 200 with a 12 that could handle around that much would be a good start. hu depends on what functions and what you would like to achieve also.

I would look at a single 12 in a nice ported enclosure with around 1k in power. Pick up 1/0 wire for power/ground. Also upgrade your big 3. You can use the stock stereo if you like, just need to pic up an LOC for it and that would save a few bucks in most cases over buying a new stereo and everything to install it.

I ended up buying a different vehicle. I bought a 2009 Honda Civic LX. This is what I want. I want a hard pounding Sub with Box & an AMP. If you can recommend me a Sub w/box & an amp. I would like to bang with a single 12 inch.

I was told by a Infinite Auto where I live that I could use my stock head unit and add some sort of converter or something and just add a sub/box/amp. I would like to stay around 500.00 for these is possible.

Could you please link me a good sub, ported box & amp. Could this be done with $500.00? or alittle more? If you can link me a good sub,box and amp for $500.00 it wold be appreciated. I am not sure what to look for. I want to stick with one single 12in that hits hard.
