his budget is $800, space is limited, and the only electrical upgrades are a optima yellow top.

a buddy of mine wants a "louder system" in his '01 ***** am. he had two twelves sealed off about 500w (memphis 40th anniversary subs... idk the model # or anything, they had four X's on the dustcap...). he was thinkin about getting a single W7 but i think he could get louder than that. i just don't know how...

i have 2 12" RL-Ps in 1.25 cuft per sub run off of a sundown 1500 in my tiburon. they are incredible. get loud and are so accurate in bass reproduction on a variety of music. i would consider these. used they can be had for around 300/pair on the forum.

great suggestions you guys. just keep in mind that power is an issue. his budget is for subs, amp, and electrical upgrades (if needed). . . everything is stock except battery

I'm perfectly happy with my Pioneer 305's. For 2 12's in a sealed enclosure (in the trunk of my 99 Regal) they sound great. I'm only running around 300-400rms to them right now and they sound good. I don't need them so loud anymore. But back in the day I had them hooked to a 1000w Tsunami and they were retarded loud. Nice and punchy too.

Not sure what the new model is to compare this to, but for a budget sub that sounds great sealed, I think they are great.
