Depend's on how you're metering it. I've personally got over 155 with one 18" sub with no wall, MECA street class metered at the kickpanel.

If you're getting metered at the headrest, it's a hole different ballgame.

it will be metered from the dash.... i have 2 15 audioque hdc3s right now on a 3500d....its loud but as u get used to it the story changes haha.... i was thinking of doubling everything and walling the envoy off

yeah a wall is your best bet. I would dampen the hell out of the suv first then build that way you dont kill the poor thing. are you trying to do this as a street beater or a burp box? a burp box will be the best way.If your trying to do this @ 30hrtz good luck oh and if you go with a burp box dont forget that with a wall you dont tune the box you tune the cab! and the only way to do that is to test test test test.

ummm this is deff going to be a groundpounder...no purely spl applications.... i wanna be able to hammer on the system for around 10 minutes a day tops and still be able to bring home a trophy if i did compete

dont forget you will be driving around with 2000+ extra lbs in your ride which is a hazzard to your health. LOL

it can be done but it wont be easy at a lower freq.

i metered my old setup which was 2 15 mtx 8500s on 900 watts... it did a 140.1 ...the newer one is deff louder but not loud enough... but my main goal is too make the setup too loud.... i prob wont upgrade after this so i wanna go out with a bang...and ya the whole system would weigh about 550 lbs in the end

my wall for 4 18's was about 500lbs by its self then I had 7 115lb batts not including the 4 50lb subs and a couple of 40lb amps.

if your going to do a wall you might as well do it right.

very true...how much do u think it is for new shocks and such to make sure the trunk doesnt mess up my car

Why do you set your goal so high.

I would shoot for a 150 on music. That's plenty loud enough.

One prototype TC Sounds 4hp 18", two Zenon 5kw's (one amp per 2 coils so .5 per each of the coils) and a transmission line enclosure made out of marble. Had three Alphacell G31 batteries, and a 220 amp alternator all stuck in my Jeep Cherokee. The official score was 155.6 db. There is a thread floating around this site about it with a ton of pictures.

well a 155 daily is not an easy task by far so good luck with the build
