Mclaren mids are pretty nice. Running their entry level 10s and they get loud with a good amount of midbass

I'll be getting the Sundown Neopro 8v2's.
My vote goes to them, but for 6.5's the SQ pro's were good for the price. They were loud, but may not be the best sound quality if that is what you're after.

Actually man, the SQ pros arent that loud but they sound a lot better than a lot of other pro drivers. Warm and midbassy compared to my db drive and some pwxs i've heard at the comp, those are less warm sounding and in your face vocals.

They were loud enough for what I wanted

i heard a guy setup yesterday tha had a both sizes and was loud and crystal clear, he had fosgate punch pro and was running active. i think that when you two different sizes one drive and fill the void where the other lacks

Running active can go a LONG way towards making PA stuff sound good.

As mentioned there is no reason to run a 6.5/8 set up unless that's all you can fit. 2 of either size can get quite loud.

Soundqubed: loud and clear sounding, not much midbass

Eminence: very loud and more in your face/aggressive sounding, solid midbass

Selenium: very loud and more laid back sounding, decent midbass

PE PA: very loud and smooth sounding/solid midbass

Neo Pro v2's are much better then the v1's.

PWX's are meh IMO.

Haven't messed with RF or DD stuff.

Need to remember these are PA midranges, not midbass so don't expect any them to play down to 40Hz with authority. Unless you run 12's or 15's.....

PE PA = parts express PA speakers. The $32 6.5's are quite impressive if given enough power....
