Looking at large 2 channels

Does the fact bridging makes them mono effect anything?
No it doesn't. What you're doing when you bridge a four channel into two channels is using the two right and two left channel pairs to create one stereo pair of channels. No stereo separation is lost whatever.

Thanks for clearing that up guys, makes this install infinitely more flexible. bbeljefe you mentioned pricing the ct sounds out with my local dealer. I don't see any in Cali listed. What are my options? I'm still not obstinate against the 500.2 either though but that might be the beer talking.

LOL. Yeah, that beer will do some talking won't it?

As for dealers in Cali, I think we have about four now but not knowing where you are, I can't tell you who is closest to you. You can hop on ct-sounds.com and check the dealer locator or if you like, tell me where you are and I'll find out who is the closest to you. They can ship if you're not within driving distance but we cannot ship to another dealer's area.

Spoke with the Cali dealer and the 4 channel is reasonably priced within my budget. Another thought came up though. The P99RS has automatic time alignment and auto EQ. I don't see an issue with the L/R EQ by using a splitter but wouldn't the time alignment get messed up if Im splitting the midwoofer outs?

No. It will measure sound from your speakers to do the automatic EQ and time alignment. As long as there are only 2 speakers playing from the midwoofer pre-outs the results should be normal.

You're awesome. In this case I'm probably going to pick up the CT Sounds 125.4 and use that for my tweets and midranges and just bridge my X-Ion 165.4 to the midwoofers. Thanks for being so kind as to educate me guys. Much kudos.

I have a 160.4, & it plays plenty loud on 2 8 ohm mirages and 2 4 ohm midbasses.

Did you check What the dc resistance is on the drivers?...my dynaudio says 5.3 ohms, which is better than the 8 ohm they put in their specs.

Have you even tried that amp know them yet in 2 channel?
