Looking at a volt blaster and wondered how it will affect my power ratings?

Looking to add a volt blaster that is adjustable from 16-20 VDC. Say my 600.1 is gives 755 Watts at 14.4 volts according to the birth sheet. What will going to 16 VDC or even 20 VDC give me? The majority of car audio is rated at 14.4vdc (with 11~16vdc allowable = 16vdc being the upper end of the safe range). Feeding an amp not designed for high voltage operation 20vdc or so will certainly result in "magic smoke" which no one ever likes to see //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Scratch that idea then. No use in taking that much of a chance.

If you want more power step into the big leagues and get a bigger amp. Given all the voltage and current in he world to work with you are still severely limited by the fact that it is designed to be a 600W amp. To get an appreciable increase in output you would need to almost double power output. That amp will not be able to do that regardless of wht you feed it.
