Looking at a P2 8 inch from amazon Deciding on a 4 or 2 ohm DVC

Right now I am building a custom center console for my pickup. I'm going to put an 8 inch inside of it, and I am deciding now whether to buy a 2 or 4 ohm dvc. The amp i am running will be a sony 4 channel. Its a 4/3 and I think that it bridges at 4 ohm... what do you guys think I need?

you need a d2 sub so that you can wire it in series to 4 ohm

Thanks for the fast reply guys, ive been out of it for a while haha.

Any recommendations on the sub? I just picked out the p2 cause I did a complete rockford install on a guys pickup and i liked the sound of it but im definitely open to suggestions.

Just about anything else lol... Look at Sundown, American bass, digital designs, DC...

Well start with that but I'd upgrade ASAP

Not much you can do with that. Would you be willing to upgrade your amplifier? There are plenty of budget amps that put out 500rms that would open up your options a whole lot as far as a decent subwoofer would go.

Well all I drive a 97 Dodge with 160k on her. Definitely not a pretty pickup, really just wanting something to add a little extra. I don't listen to music that loud. I mean im definitely open to suggestions, I just don't want a system that just slams.

(College tuition kinda nips at the available cash fund too haha)

Well all I drive a 97 Dodge with 160k on her. Definitely not a pretty pickup, really just wanting something to add a little extra. I don't listen to music that loud. I mean im definitely open to suggestions, I just don't want a system that just slams.

Itll work for awhile just keep your eyes open for something decent on here to replace it
