Lookin to order new components next week

im lookin to spend around 300$ for a pair of components with 6.5". I'd like to go a step up from my old CDT EF-61's if at all possible. Any ideas on a good pair for that price and where to get them?

if you liked the way the regular ef sounded you can upgrade to the ef61(FG) fiberglass midrange material with upraded 25mm tweeters. check out the specs

If you want a really big step up from your current speakers, I would look into a different brand aswell.

Rainbow, Focal, MB Quart, Boston Acoustics, Memphis, DLS, OZ Audio, etc.

I have the CDT HD62 set and im planning on trying out the OZ Audio Matrix Elite CS180

I have 200 x 2 @ 4 ohm available to give to this set but im afraid that it will be to much since ill have the tweeter mounted in place of the stock tweeter on the door panel and the mid replacing the stock mid.

What is your thoughts on this. Thanks

p.s. i can also run this amp at 50 x 4 @ 4 ohm and get about 100 x 4 @ 4 ohm since its underated

see i liked the EF's but it just wasnt enough for me, and my amp pushes out more than those could handle anyway so i can step it up a bit. So maybe goin with something like the rainbow's would be a better choice for me. Where can i find them for around 300$ and do you think that would be the right choice? i liked the ef's but just couldnt seem to get loud enough for my taste.
