well,you know how when you are playing and instrument ,a cymbol,thats how i want them to sound and want them to be loud and not like a compression horn.as you put it i want them to shimmer and be loud. as for the midsi do want to hear them over road noise and keep up with subs and be loud at same time.i was lookin at these mid,

i would choose from these, there are other choices such as morel, dynaudio, vifa, audiotechnology, ology audio, etc but these have proven themselves to be some of the best for the price and i highly reccomend them.
