Lookin for a Car under 4k, ideas?

lookin to buy a car over the month for next summer. got a budget of 4k.

Hoping for a car thats easy to get loud in so trying to stay away from trunk cars.

I thought about a CRX but in the twin cities hondas seem to get stolen more often, and i hate 4 bangers and fwd.

im leaning towards this 86' RX7 with a 350 v8 swapped in

i love the idea of a basic carb'd small block for reliability compared to a rotary. Im sure a ho alt shouldnt cost too much nor be hard to find. no computer or smog stuff, very easy to fix.

im keeping the marquis for a winter beater so this will be a summer daily driver.

anyone got any other ideas for something that would be quick and easy to get loud in for the same price range?

ive wanted a 2nd gen rx7 since high school but never wanted to pay to maintain a rotary. the basic swap kit with the new mounts and crossmember is 1600 alone, clean good rolling chassis are getting harder to find, not to mention transporting it if it doesnt run. + cost of a small block and T5 5 speed, modified drive shaft, etc... it would add up quick to do it myself

i guess if you really want a rx7 go for it. but fox bodies could be had for 1/4 of that price and still have 5.0 otherwise older z28 camaros go under 4k too.

He is one of the few out there that can fart DB dust.

As small as the aveo is, I could see a pin drop hitting 100.
